Cantonal Museum of Appenzell

A feasibility study should deliver the answer to the question in which form two individual, traditional, cultural history museums in Appenzell Ausserrhoden could collaborate more closely or even come together as one museum, possibly supported by the canton. The museum committees and the operative leaders of the museums in Stein and Herisau visited each other in their archives to become more familiar with the contents and spatial situation.

After the first meetings between the involved individuals of the museums, a further workshop was organized spontaneously with people from other regions and fields in order to generate new content, exchange views and collect further ideas. Christian Müller from gutundgut was able to bring in fresh ideas and visions as a participant of the workshop in Teufen.
